Story:

The video takes place in a white area, in a dark "club atmosphere" room, in the micro area and a "Sjus" room. While KATO spins his records in the white area, Ida, Camille and Johnson perform the song in the other rooms.

 

Curiosities:

  • The small club-inspired room gets darker during the breakdown of the song

  • One of Camille's outfits is a hoodie

  • KATO spins his records on a moving table/swing

  • The artists are not seen together in any scenes

  • The video premiered on the 7th February 2011 on Danish TV as well as on the internet

Afrika 2010

Story:

Many Danish celebrities come together at Sun studios in Copenhagen to record a new version of the legendary Danish hit "Afrika".

 

Curiosities:

  • The original song was written in 1985 by Nanna and recorded by famous Danish artists to help raise money for poor children in Africa

  • It was the Danish Red Cross, who initiated it to do a new version of Afrika on the 25th anniversary of the song

  • The involved stars include Ida Corr, Flemming Jørgensen, Bryan Rice, Chanée & N'evergreen, Szhirley and many more

  • The musicvideo was released one week after its recording

Story:

Ida tries to call her love interest through his laptop, but he's not there. The camera then enters the world of the internet. Ida walks around in this colourful world, watching viral videos from fans, singing and dancing to her music. When the boy finally arrives, Ida hangs up the internet phone ("Sorry. Too late.").

 

Curiosities:

  • Ida teamed up with the company "8x4", who produce hygiene products, for their advertising campaign

  • Ida asked the fans to record videos of themselves, dancing and posing to the song

  • 50 winners were chosen and were incorporated to the final video (viral videos)

  • During the videoshoot Ida received a Gold Award for selling 150,000 singles of "Let Me Think About It" in Germany

  • The unfinished video premiered on the 15th April 2010 on 8x4's website

  • The finished video premiered on the 30th August 2010 on the Ministry Of Sound Germany Youtube-Channel

Skrøbeligt Fundament

Story:

Many Danish artists sing in a studio in support of the Haitian earthquake victims.

 

Curiosities:

  • Sys Bjerre wrote the song and managed it to get support by up to 50 Danish artists within a few days

  • The involved stars include Ida Corr, Sys Bjerre, Outlandish, Infernal, Medina, Szhirley and many more

  • The musicvideo was released only one week after its recording

Illusion

Story:

The video starts with a view at an illustrated earth divided in a green and a polluted urban half. A close-up to the city shows chimneys, which are polluting the air with smoke. Simon, shown on broken televisions and screens, and Ida, who is figured as a shining fairy, sing the song. Like in the lyrics the city's lights are turned off, children come to the streets and ignite candles. The video ends with a close-up to an overall green planet with an ice pole.

 

Curiosities:

  • The official WWF World Wildlife Fund Climate theme song 2009

  • The animated video was filmed in stop-motion

  • Simon and Ida are not seen together in a scene

  • Class 6a from Fanefjord school, Askeby won a contest to take part in the video, rewarded for their environmental commitment

  • The video was shot to promote the climate event on the 16th December 2009 in Copenhagen

  • On this day people turned the city's lights off and children came with their lanterns to the streets of Copenhagen, exactly like in the lyrics and the video

  • Ida and Simon took part of this event and performed the song

Story:

Ida performs the song situated in two dark rooms. One room is painted with graffities and the other one features four bright shining lamps. With her big futuristic hair-do Ida sings and dances throughout the video. In the graffity room scene she's coloured with phosphorescent paint on her body.

 

Curiosities:

  • Ida wears the same big hair-do like on the covers for "I Want You" and "Under The Sun"

  • the graffities are the lyrics to the song

  • Ida's body gets painted on during the graffity scene

Ride My Tempo

Story:

Throughout the video the lyrics are figured as film credits in "James Bond"-style. Ida Corr performs the song in a black "secret agent" catsuit, a glamorous performance dress and another dark diva-esque dress. In one scene Ida appears in disguise with only neon eyes, mouth and fingernails visible. Dancers appear only in shapes and dance in between the animated forms and phrases.

 

Curiosities:

  • The "Round Egg Chair" with a girl sitting inside as shown in the first scene is the logo for Ida Corr's record label "Lifted House"

  • The musicvideo has a strong reference to the film title sequences of the 1962 film "James Bond - Dr. No."

  • Unlike in 007, no guns and no martinis are used

  • The "end credits" scene features all names of the directors, producers, dancers and staff as well as the note "As a tribute to Maurice Binder", the man who made the original James Bond credit sequences

  • Also featured in the same scene is the funny sentence: "Actual characters appear as themselves, not as any form of english, martini drinking secret service agent, with a license to kill."

  • The video had its premiere 3rd March 2009 on the Ministry Of Sound Germany Video channels

They Said I Said

Story:

Rahsaan Patterson passes by a wall, painted with graffities. He discovers an Ida Corr painting, which suddenly starts to move. Ida on the wall begins to sing. She comes out of the wall, turning into an animated character and speaks directly to Rah. Jaz Rogers later jumps out of the wall too. He plays guitar, xylophone and a trumpet. Rah suddenly wakes up from his day dream and hears a horn. He sees Ida and Jaz who are sitting in a SugaRush truck waiting for him and runs towards them.

 

Curiosities:

  • The whole video is animated

  • All characters are animated, besides Ida Corr in one scene

  • The wall features graffities of Jaz playing guitar, Ida in a pattern dress and the whole band in shape

  • Ida has an afro-hairdo and wears creoles once again like in previous videos

  • Ida was the only bandmember of SugaRush Beat Company to be filmed for their musicvideos

Stop Mobning Nu

Story:

Throughout the video Al Agami, Bryan Rice, Lizzie and Ida Corr sing their lines in a studio. The Gepetto muppets play instruments in another studio. The main story is about the yellow muppet Sven, who heavily gets mobbed by children in a school. A small boy steps in and defends the muppet. In the end they become friends.

 

Curiosities:

  • The singers are human and the band members are muppets

  • The guitar playing muppet "rocks" in a foggy scenery

L-O-V-E

Story:

At night time Rahsaan Patterson walks through lonely and dark streets in a rainy city. Some cars pass by. Ida Corr and Jaz Rogers appear as ghosts supporting Rah. Accompanying to his steps and the beat, the scenery changes colours. Rah runs through a dusty tight alley. Finally all three walk together through the letters L O V E towards the morning sun.

 

Curiosities:

  • The whole video and all characters are animated

  • The Rah character has a sun tattoo on his right hand like Rahsaan in real life

  • Besides the cars passing by, there's only one minor character at the end of the video, holding an umbrella

Let Me Think About It

Story:

The whole scenery of the video is purple. The clip mainly focuses on Ida Corr and her female dancers, all having the same afro hairdo and the same purple clothes. The musicvideo features a backing band playing guitars, trumpets, a drum, bongos and tambourines. All characters are situated on big white blocks except for three female dancers, dancing on chairs. A male dancer joins the girls, who tries to seduce Ida. Ida goes down to him, she turns off the light and confronts him.

 

Curiosities:

  • Robert Palmer and Prince are the main inspiration for the video

  • The musicvideo is an hommage to Prince's performance skills

  • Fedde Le Grand doesn't appear in the video

  • Dancer Jason Beitel, one of Kylie Minogue's dancers since 2005, is the male character

  • The afros are wigs

  • Ida and four female dancers were filmed, but overall you can see Ida plus sixteen other girls dancing and playing instruments assembled into the overview scene

  • The video premiered 28th August 2007 on Data Records' Youtube channel

Lonely Girl

Story:

Ida sings her emotional song in a black scenery. A mother and her child appear accompanying to the lyrics. In the chorus scene Ida performs on the ocean's surface, dressed in a long white gown. She falls into the sea and continues to sing her heart out on top of the water.

  • This video was Ida's music video debut

  • It was shot outside Copenhagen at the sea

  • Ida wears small creole earrings and golden bracelets

  • It premiered on the show "Go Aften Danmark" 10th October 2006
